Where have the protesters gone?
In the 60s and early 70s America was a hot bed for politcial movement. What has happened? I am afriad that my genoration will not be able to have protests and demonstrations like the generations before. Being known as the "me" genoration is bad for the American image. Personaly I would rather be known as the "we" generation. Also known as the genoration that can organize and come together for a common purpouse.

Wall-Fart?
I hate Wall Mart. I hate the lighting, the old people who are "greeters/security from shoplifters", the low coorperate prices and just about everythin else. When the "man" is looking for a model he should look no further than the local Wal-Mart. Here he can find out how to bankrupt small bussiness, make foreign workers work for little to no pay and create a monopoly within the Unitesd Staes. The idea of a coorperate penny-pinching company underminds the fabric of America, it's people. Some of the people might save a few bucks, but at what cost? Are we as Americans ready to forefit jobs and our dignity to pay 27.67 insted of 28.00?

Think about the old people!
Can our current economy support the increasing number of senior citizens? Personally I don't think it can. Something needs to be done about senior care in the United States. With our economy in the trash and the babby boomers getting close to retirement, something needs to change. When my generaton has to look after our parents, our spending will decrease, thus lowering our countries economy. This will be one more cog in the depression mechine.
Economy?
Lazze Faire Does not work. The constant complaining about the economic stimulus package is completly rediculus. It was proven by Hoover, that letting the government do nothing is just as bad, if not worse than doing nothing. "At least one side is doing something."

Are you more brain-washed than a fifth gradder?
Every single day elementry school aged children are required to say the pledge of allegance. Like a cult everyone stands, faces the flag and recites the same montage every day. The question arrises are we brain-washing elementry school aged children or are we creating "good citizens?"
I think the pledge of allegance is wrong to make elentry school children say.
Studies have show, that young children are more impressionable than older children. By saying the pledge are we allowing our children to not think for themselves?
Or are we taking the sensitivity of patriotism away from young children?
When something is repeted over and over again, does it loose it's luster?
Just soemthing to think about....

Manditory National Service?
I am a strong advicate of national service. In my opinion all students graduating high school should be required to give at least one year of national service. This service could be for the military or any other organizaion. With our economy in a "resession" America needs all the help it can get.
With numerous volinteers, America will save money and youg citizens will gain expericance for later in life.
Even if the service is not required I believe it should at least be encouraged by the government.

Heath Care?
Should health care be a large part of what tax payers put thier mony into? In my opinion tax dollars should do the greatest good for the greatest amount of people. With universal heath care, all of America will be influanced by having quality health care. This will save money in the long run, Thus, reducing taxes for future generations.
Univeral health care also takes the burocracy aspect out of the health care industry. Do we as Americans want our health care run by big bussiness, who only care about making money? Some would argue that the government is the same thing, however, the government is looking to the long run (hopefully). Therefore, with this program the government is not just another bussiness person out for themselves.
